Photo: CDSA shock podium for Clément Desalle proved the ambition of the young Belgian LS Motors-Honda squad. Already on Saturday a determined Desalle had proved his worth by finishing 7th, just behind the World MX1 top guns. But the best had yet to come. On Sunday Desalle took is first ever World MX1 podium when he finished third in the Italian mud race
behind countryman De Dycker and winner Tanel Leok. Because of the extreme track conditions the jury decided to cancel the second MX1 and MX2 races.
Team owner Steven Lettani: “We are very pleased about this weekend. We couldn’t have had a better start to the season. The conditions were extremely tricky but they were the same for everyone. I am really proud of Clément, he rode very well and made almost no mistakes. Dennis rode good as well, it’s just a shame he got stuck.”
